Privacy policy

Data protection

We process your data exclusively on the basis of the legal provisions (DSGVO, TKG 2003). In this data protection information, we inform you about the most important aspects of data processing within the scope of our website.

We have written this privacy statement to explain to you, in accordance with the requirements of the EU General Data Protection Regulation, what information we collect, how we use data and what decision-making options you have as a visitor to this website.

Unfortunately, these explanations sound very technical , however, we have tried to describe things as simply and clearly as possible when creating them.

Contacting us

If you contact us by form on the website or by e‑mail, the data you provide will be stored by us for the purpose of processing the request and in case of follow-up questions. We do not pass on this data without your consent.

Automatic data storage

When you visit websites nowadays, certain information is automatically created and stored, including on this website.

When you visit our website as you are doing right now, our web server (computer on which this website is stored) automatically stores data such as the IP address of your device, the addresses of the visited subpages, details about your browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge,…) and date as well as time. We do not use this data and generally do not pass it on, but we cannot exclude the possibility that this data may be viewed in the event of unlawful behavior.

Storage of personal data

Personal data that you transmit to us electronically on this website, such as name, e‑mail address, address or other personal information in the context of submitting a form or comments on the blog, are used by us together with the time and IP address only for the purpose stated in each case, stored securely and not disclosed to third parties.

We thus use your personal data only for communication with those visitors who expressly request contact and for the processing of the services and products offered on this website. We do not disclose your personal data without your consent, but we cannot exclude the possibility that this data may be accessed in the event of unlawful conduct.

You agree that the data, namely: Personal data (name, IP, date of birth, title, academic degree, language, …), personal characteristics (gender), address data (address, postal code, telephone number, e‑mail address, , …), payment data (account data, credit card data, … ), transaction data (bookings, cancellations, …), receivables (open receivables, payment status, …), product data (offer, price, tariff, product, …), communication data (e‑mails, letters, …), order data (contact person, client, date, time, …), tracking data (google, analytics, …). ), tracking data (google Analytics, browser type, version and number, operating system, …) and all data disclosed by you in the course of the business relationship for the purpose of contract performance and support as well as for our own advertising purposes, for example to send offers, advertising brochures and newsletters (in paper and electronic form) are automatically determined, stored and processed by us.

In the event of the conclusion of a contract, all data from the contractual relationship will be stored until the expiry of the retention period under tax law (currently at least 7 years). For the assertion and/or defense of claims from/to/through the contractual relationship, the storage period may — for legitimate interest — be up to 30 years.

You expressly consent to electronic mail being sent to you for advertising purposes until revoked. This consent can be revoked at any time in writing by e‑mail, fax or letter to the contact details given in the imprint.

The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG as well as Art 6 para 1 lit a (consent) and/or lit b (necessary for the performance of the contract) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO. Our concern in terms of the DSGVO (legitimate interest) is the improvement of our offer and our website.

If you send us personal data by e‑mail — thus away from this website — we cannot guarantee secure transmission and protection of your data. We recommend that you never send confidential data unencrypted by e‑mail.

Data transfer

There is no data transfer to third parties, with the exception of the transfer of payment data to the processing banking institutions / payment service providers for the purpose of debiting the purchase price and to our tax advisor to fulfill our tax obligations.

There is also a transfer of data to third parties in the context of the services to be provided to technical service providers (hosting provider, technical infrastructure, e‑mail dispatch, …) as well as to exercise the contractually assured rights and obligations.

You agree, revocable at any time, that the data listed may be used to check your creditworthiness and credit rating prior to the conclusion of the contract with the credit rating databases of SCHUFA Holding AG, creditPass ® telego! Risiko Management, Deltavista GmbH, Schimmelpfeng Creditmanagement GmbH, Wirtschaftsauskunftei Wisur GmbH and/or to the Kreditschutzverband 1870.

In addition, in the event of late payment or for other legal reasons (disputing a contractual relationship, allegation of an illegal act by a third party), the data listed will be passed on to a collection agency and/or a lawyer and/or the competent court for the purpose of asserting the claims in court.

Your rights

You are generally entitled to the rights of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, data portability, revocation and objection. If you believe that the processing of your data violates data protection law or your data protection rights have otherwise been violated in some way, you can complain to the supervisory authority. In Austria, this is the data protection authority.

TLS encryption with https

We use https to transmit data in a tap-proof manner on the Internet. By using TLS (Transport Layer Security), an encryption protocol for secure data transmission on the Internet, we can ensure the protection of confidential data. You can recognize the use of this protection of data transmission by the small lock symbol in the upper left corner of the browser and the use of the scheme https as part of our internet address.

Cookies

Our website uses HTTP cookies to store user-specific data.
A cookie is a short data packet that is exchanged between the web browser and the web server, but is completely meaningless to the latter and only acquires meaning for the web application, e.g. an online store, such as the contents of a virtual shopping cart.

There are two types of cookies: first-party cookies are created by our website, third-party cookies are created by other websites (e.g. Google Analytics).
There are three categories of cookies: strictly necessary cookies to ensure basic website functionality, functional cookies to ensure website performance, and goal-oriented cookies to improve the user experience.

We use cookies to make our website more user-friendly. Some cookies remain stored on your terminal device until you delete them. They allow us to recognize your browser on your next visit.

If you do not wish this, you can set up your browser so that it informs you about the setting of cookies and you only allow this in individual cases.
You can delete cookies that are already on your computer or deactivate cookies at any time. The procedure for doing this varies by browser, it is best to search for the instructions in Google using the search term “delete cookies Chrome” or “disable cookies Chrome” in the case of a Chrome browser or replace the word “Chrome” with the name of your browser, e.g. Edge, Firefox, Safari.
If you generally do not allow us to use cookies, i.e. disable them by browser setting, some features and pages may not work as expected.

Provision of chargeable services

DigiStore24

We have partially outsourced our payment transactions to Digistore24 GmbH, St.-Godehard-Straße 32, 31139 Hildesheim. When a payment is made via Digistore24, the following data, among others, is collected for the processing of the order: First name, last name, e‑mail address, as well as billing address.

The data will be stored due to a contract (eg order a product) initially until the statute of limitations. In accordance with commercial and tax obligations, we also retain the personal data to be stored.

We have also outsourced our affiliate program to Digistore24, by means of which advertising fees can be earned through the placement of advertisements and links to Digistore24. Digistore24 uses cookies to track the origin of orders. Among other things, Digistore24 can recognize that you have clicked the affiliate link on this website. The storage of “Digistore cookies” is based on Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in this, as the amount of its affiliate remuneration can only be determined through the cookies. More information and details about the handling of your data as well as the privacy policy of Digistore24 can be found at www.digistore24.com/legal/privacy.

Elopage

We have partially outsourced our payment transactions to elopay GmbH, Skalitzer Straße 138, 10999 Berlin, Germany. When a payment is made via elopay GmbH, the following data, among others, is collected for the processing of the order: First name, last name, e‑mail address, as well as billing address.

Due to a conclusion of a contract (e.g. order of a product), the data will initially be stored until the statute of limitations expires. In accordance with commercial and tax obligations, we also retain the personal data to be stored.

We have also outsourced our affiliate program to elopay, by means of which advertising fees can be earned through the placement of advertisements and links to elopay. elopay uses cookies to track the origin of orders. Among other things, elopay can recognize that you have clicked the partner link on this website. The storage of “elopay ‑cookies” is based on Art. 6 (1) f) DSGVO. The website operator has a legitimate interest in this, as the amount of its affiliate remuneration can only be determined through the cookies. More information and details about the handling of your data as well as the privacy policy of elopay can be found at https://elopage.com/privacy.

Order processing

For the provision of paid services, we may request additional data in order to guarantee the execution of the contract. For the execution of the contract, we forward personal data to our service providers, transport and shipping companies. The data will be stored in accordance with commercial and tax obligations.

Your personal data for purchase and order are necessary for the contract execution, because without these data a contract can not be concluded. For advertising purposes and for interest-based advertising selection, we process your name and contact details and the criteria for advertising selection only until you object.

We use your name and, if applicable, your address for further information about interesting products and services. For business customers, we use the telephone number in the case of presumed consent for telephone advertising.

Newsletter Privacy Policy

When you sign up for our newsletter, you submit the above personal data and give us the right to contact you by e‑mail. We use the data stored as part of the registration for the newsletter exclusively for our newsletter and do not pass it on.

If you unsubscribe from the newsletter — you will find the link for this at the bottom of each newsletter — we will delete all data that was stored with the registration to the newsletter.

You will only receive newsletters, e‑mails or other electronic messages with promotional information from us with your consent or on the basis of a legal permission. Within the scope of the newsletter registration, we use the so-called double opt-in procedure. This means that after registration you will receive an e‑mail to the specified e‑mail address and only after confirmation of this e‑mail (e.g. by clicking on a confirmation link) your registration becomes effective. If you no longer wish to receive a newsletter from us, you can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the unsubscribe link in the newsletter.

The newsletter is sent by means of “ActiveCampaign”, a newsletter sending platform located at 1 N Dearborn, 5th Floor, Chicago, IL 60601, United States.
The email addresses of our newsletter recipients, as well as their other data described in the context of this notice, are stored on ActiveCampaign’s servers in the United States. ActiveCampaign uses this information to send and evaluate the newsletter on our behalf. Furthermore, according to its own information, ActiveCampaign may use this data to optimize or improve its own services, e.g. to technically optimize the dispatch and display of the newsletters or for economic purposes to determine from which countries the recipients come. However, ActiveCampaign does not use the data of our newsletter recipients to write to them itself or pass the data on to third parties.
We trust in the reliability and the IT and data security of ActiveCampaign. ActiveCampaign is certified under the US-EU data protection agreement “Privacy Shield” and thus undertakes to comply with EU data protection requirements. Furthermore, we have concluded a “Data Processing Agreement” with ActiveCampaign. This is a contract in which ActiveCampaign undertakes to protect the data of our users, to process it on our behalf in accordance with its data protection provisions and, in particular, not to pass it on to third parties. You can view ActiveCampaign’s privacy policy here.

MailChimp privacy policy

We send newsletters with MailChimp and use functions of the newsletter service MailChimp of the company The Rocket Science Group, LLC, 675 Ponce de Leon Ave NE, Suite 5000, Atlanta, GA 30308 USA on this website to collect newsletter registrations.

General information about MailChimp

Rocket Science Group LLC (MailChimp) maintains online platforms that allow our users to stay in touch with their subscribers, primarily via email. They allow users to upload email addresses and other subscriber profile information, such as name, physical address, and other demographic information, to the MailChimp database. This information is used to send emails and enable the use of certain other MailChimp features for those users. In accordance with its published privacy policy, MailChimp shares some information with third-party vendors to provide and support the services MailChimp offers to users. MailChimp also shares some information with third-party advertising partners to better understand users’ needs and interests in order to provide more relevant content and targeted advertising to those users and other users.

Newsletter Sign Up

When you sign up for our newsletter on our website, the data you enter is stored by MailChimp.

Deletion of your data

You can withdraw your consent to receive our newsletter at any time within the received email by clicking on the link at the bottom. Once you have unsubscribed by clicking on the unsubscribe link, your data will be deleted from MailChimp.

When you receive a newsletter via MailChimp, information such as IP address, browser type and email program is stored to give us information about the performance of our newsletter. MailChimp can determine whether the email has arrived, whether it has been opened and whether links have been clicked by means of the images called web beacons integrated in the HTML emails (details can be found at https://kb.mailchimp.com/reports/about-open-tracking). All this information is stored on MailChimp’s servers, not on this website.

MailChimp is an active participant in the EU‑U.S. Privacy Shield Framework, which regulates the correct and secure transfer of personal data. For more information, please visit https://www.privacyshield.gov/participant?id=a2zt0000000TO6hAAG. You can learn more about MailChimp’s use of cookies at https://mailchimp.com/legal/cookies/, and you can read information about MailChimp’s privacy policy (Privacy) at https://mailchimp.com/legal/privacy/.

MailChimp order data processing contract

We have concluded an order data processing contract (Data Processing Addendum) with MailChimp. This contract serves to safeguard your personal data and ensures that MailChimp adheres to the applicable data protection regulations and does not pass on your personal data to third parties.

More information about this contract can be found at http://mailchimp.com/legal/forms/data-processing-agreement/.

Google Fonts Privacy Policy

We use Google Fonts from the company Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on our website. Google Fonts are used without authentication and no cookies are sent to the Google Fonts API. If you have an account with Google, none of your Google account information is transmitted to Google while using Google Fonts. Google only records the usage of CSS and the fonts used and stores this data securely. You can find out more about these and other issues at https://developers.google.com/fonts/faq.

You can read more about what data is collected by Google and what it is used for at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Google Maps Privacy Policy

We use Google Maps from the company Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) on our website.

By using the functions of this map, data is transmitted to Google. You can find out which data is collected by Google and what this data is used for at https://www.google.com/intl/de/policies/privacy/.

Google Analytics Privacy Policy

We use Google Analytics on this website from Google Inc. (1600 Amphitheatre Parkway Mountain View, CA 94043, USA) to statistically analyze visitor data. In doing so, Google Analytics uses target-oriented cookies.

For more information on terms of use and data protection, please visit http://www.google.com/analytics/terms/de.html or https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/6004245?hl=de.

Pseudonymization

Our concern in terms of the DSGVO is the improvement of our offer and our website. Since the privacy of our users is important to us, user data is pseudonymized. The data processing is carried out on the basis of the legal provisions of § 96 para 3 TKG as well as Art 6 EU-DSGVO para 1 lit a (consent) and/or f (legitimate interest) of the DSGVO.

Deactivation of data collection by Google Analytics

Using the browser add-on to disable Google Analytics JavaScript (ga.js, analytics.js, dc.js), website visitors can prevent Google Analytics from using their data.

You can prevent the collection of data generated by the cookie and related to your use of the website to Google, as well as the processing of this data by Google, by downloading and installing the browser plugin available at the following link: https://tools.google.com/dlpage/gaoptout?hl=de

Google Analytics Data Processing Addendum

We have entered into a direct customer agreement with Google for the use of Google Analytics by accepting the “Data Processing Addendum” in Google Analytics.

You can find out more about the data processing addendum for Google Analytics here: https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3379636?hl=de&utm_id=ad

Google Analytics deactivation link

If you click on the following deactivation link, you can prevent Google from collecting further visits to this website. Attention: Deleting cookies, using the incognito/private mode of your browser, or using a different browser will result in data being collected again.

Deactivate Google Analytics

Google Analytics IP anonymization

We have implemented Google Analytics IP address anonymization on this website. This feature was developed by Google to enable this website to comply with applicable data protection regulations and recommendations of local data protection authorities if they prohibit storage of the full IP address. The anonymization or masking of the IP takes place as soon as the IP addresses arrive in the Google Analytics data collection network and before any storage or processing of the data takes place.

More information on IP anonymization can be found at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/2763052?hl=de.

Google Analytics reports on demographic characteristics and interests.

We have enabled promotional reporting features in Google Analytics. The demographic characteristics and interests reports contain information on age, gender and interests. This allows us — without being able to assign this data to individual persons — to get a better picture of our users. You can learn more about advertising features at https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/3450482?hl=de_AT&utm_id=ad.

You can stop the use of the activities and information of your Google account under “Settings for advertising” on https://adssettings.google.com/authenticated via checkbox.

Hotjar Privacy Policy

We use Hotjar of Limited (Level 2, St Julian’s Business Centre, 3, Elia Zammit Street, St Julian’s STJ 1000, Malta) on this website to statistically analyze visitor data. Hotjar is a service that analyzes user behavior and feedback on websites through a combination of analytics and feedback tools. Hotjar-based websites have a tracking code embedded on their websites that is transmitted to our servers located in Ireland (EU). This tracking code contacts Hotjar’s servers and sends a script to the computer or device you use to access the Hotjar-based website. The script collects certain data related to the user’s interaction with the corresponding web page. This data is then sent to Hotjar’s servers for processing.

More details about the Privacy Policy and what data is collected in what way by Hotjar can be found at https://www.hotjar.com/legal/policies/privacy.

Deactivating Hotjar

If you do not want Hotjar to collect your data, you can activate the Hotjar Opt Out. There you have the option to disable or re-enable the collection of data by Hotjar by simply clicking on the red disable Hotjar button. Note: Deleting cookies, using the incognito/private mode of your browser, or using a different browser will result in data being collected again.

Facebook Privacy Policy

We use on this website functions of Facebook, a social media network of the company Facebook Ireland Ltd, 4 Grand Canal Square, Grand Canal Harbour, Dublin 2 Ireland.
You can find out which functions (social plug-ins) Facebook provides at https://developers.facebook.com/docs/plugins/.
By visiting our website, information may be transmitted to Facebook. If you have a Facebook account, Facebook can assign this data to your personal account. If you do not wish this to happen, please log out of Facebook.
The privacy policy, what information Facebook collects and how they use it can be found at https://www.facebook.com/policy.php.

YouTube Privacy Policy
